I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in professional writing and editing from West Virginia University. I also minored in business and later completed two semesters of post-bachelor's work in Economics at Portland State University.

Throughout college I repaired computers for technology companies; I was offered world-class training in customer service and computer repair, and I honed strong communication and de-escalation skills. After college, I was hired by a prominent independent bookseller to manage teams and help redesign their website.

Most recently, I lived in an RV for seven years with my wife. We traveled all over the Pacific Northwest. We managed a luxury RV Park in Oregon where I created a database of business documents and established policy, procedure, and training expectations.

I will complete a Master's of Education in English Language Arts in 2027, and I will seek employment teaching middle school or high school English.
